Operations Program Manager (DC002)

Job Description

The Operations Program Manager works with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and CM (Contract Manufacturer) to manage the overall NPI and production activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Represent Operations as part of the cross-functional NPI development team to coordinate operations deliverables.
  • Manage NPI builds at the CM from design release to product delivery.
  • Provide detailed and accurate analysis of NPI and Production build plan requirements and CM ability/risks to meet the demands.
  • Responsible for managing the monthly build plan and forecasting process for Operations.
  • This position will be the POC for all the production related inquiries including build delivery dates and cost targets.
  • Coordinate and manage all facets of inventory management with CM. Identify, manage, and provide reports relating to potential E&O.
  • Review, monitor, and report NPI project costs.
  • Create and maintain cost accounting metrics related to product COGS and assess volume based costing. Provide up to date data analysis that shows variance trends and proposed management actions if any.
  • Manage quarterly business reviews with key suppliers.
  • Assist in proposing and implementing continuous improvements.
  • This position will report to the VP of Operations.

Qualifications

  • BA or equivalent degree, with a minimum of 5 years relevant hands on experience.
  • Experience working with Accounting and Operations in all facets of inventory and COGS management
  • Experience working in high technology start-up companies where the individual has fulfilled most of the listed responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail, assigning high value to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel and other MS Office suite applications.
  • Hands on experience with ERP systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing CM programs related to manufacturing complex electronic products both onshore and offshore.
  • Good communication skills are a plus.
