Project Manager – Field Operations (GM004)


The Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of deployment projects of SpiderCloud Wireless networks in enterprise sites throughout the United States.   This includes working with Field, Consulting, and Support engineers as well as third-party system integrators and directly with our wireless carrier customers and enterprise IT departments at the end user locations. 


Business, Technical Knowledge, Judgment & Communication

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects.  Accountable for execution within the defined project constraints
  • Facilitate the definition of project goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects
  • Coordinate internal resources and Telco Operators/third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects; involve all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop detailed project plans/methods to monitor and track progress
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems and resolutions to appropriate levels of management
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes while successfully managing the relationship with the participants, clients and all other stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Monitor and report on budgeted project expenditures
  • Provide weekly reports on activities and project status to the Director of Field Operations

Customer Satisfaction through Excellence

  • Efficiently manages assigned projects to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Continuously improves project management practices based on lessons learned in the design and implementation processes
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
  • An effective team member who can collaborate with others in open and productive dialogues


  • Write reports on the project for management and other stakeholders
  • Communicate with management and stakeholders as required by circumstances
  • Monitor and report on budgeted project expenditures
  • Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date
  • Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for management and stakeholders
  • Convey new or unusual customer requirements to Product Management team
  • Provide weekly reports on activities and project status to the Director of Field Operations.


  • Recommend changes or policies to increase department effectiveness and customer satisfaction
  • Recognize and act on new opportunities while maintaining focus on the company goals, customer accounts and program/project objectives
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, 24x7 availability environment
  • Travel requirements: 10-20%


  • Very good technical background, preferably in the fields of telecommunications or engineering
  • Proven working experience in project management in the wireless telecommunications sector
  • Working experience in LTE or UMTS wireless networks. 
  • Strong technical skills in data equipment such as routers, switches, and wireless LAN; wireless Core; practical cabling standards
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in wireless networks and PoE+ LANs.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Quick learner with excellent written & verbal communication and problem solving skills
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail, multi-task and cope with deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint


  • BSEE with a focus on wireless networks or telecommunications
  • Five or more years related project management experience and/or training
  • Ideally this is related to management of in-building RAN networks, but extensive small-cell and/or DAS may be suitable
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
