Sr. SQA Engineer (Wireless) - (AM-0915)

Job Description:

Support system integration and testing and perform QA testing of SpiderCloud Enterprise RAN system.

Job summary and responsibilities:

  • Define test plans and design automated test scripts to verify end-to-end system features, LTE and UMTS protocol conformance and system performance metrics.
  • Analyze test results, debug failures, and work closely with development team to identify the root cause and resolve the problem.
  • Perform system characterization and validate that product meets specifications by collecting and processing the test data.
  • Support interoperability testing with different core network vendors as part of carrier certification and customer acceptance procedures.
  • Debug and reproduce any issue reported in the field trial and commercial deployments.
  • Conduct wireless software systems testing, testing of cellular 4G systems and related protocols, verifying software protocols and features, including characterizing system performance and stability testing in technology areas such as LTE and WCDMA.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot functionality across L1 to L3 layers, including relevant KPIs.
  • Utilize test equipment including commercial test simulators and test systems used for 3GPP Protocol Conformance related tests, plan and perform test execution and analysis of test results.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in wireless software systems testing.
  • Alternative Qualifications: In lieu of a Master’s degree and 2 years of experience employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive experience in wireless software systems testing.
  • Work experience to include:
    1. Two years of experience verifying software protocols and features, including characterizing system performance and stability testing in LTE or WCDMA technology areas.
    2. Two years of experience testing cellular 4G systems and related protocols.
    3. Two years of experience analyzing and troubleshooting functionality across L1 to L3 layers, including KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
    4. Two years of experience utilizing wireless test equipment, including commercial test simulators and test systems used for 3GPP protocol conformance tests.
    5. Two years of experience in test execution and analysis of test results.

Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
Position requires 10% domestic travel; expenses paid by employer
