Sr. SQA Engineer - Wireless (SQA-0811)

Job Description:

Support system integration and testing for SpiderCloud Enterprise RAN system, comprised of multi-mode radio technologies including LTE, UMTS, and WiFi, and platform for enterprise application services.

Job summary and responsibilities:

  • Define test plans and design automated test scripts to verify end-to-end system features, LTE and UMTS protocol conformance and system performance metrics. 
  • Perform QA testing, analyze test results, debug failures and work closely with development team to identify root cause and resolve issues. 
  • Perform system characterization and validate product specifications by collecting and processing test data. 
  • Support interoperability testing with core network vendors as part of carrier certification and customer acceptance procedures. 
  • Debug and reproduce issues reported in field trials and commercial deployments

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience in Wireless Communications Engineering.
  • Alternative Qualifications: In lieu of a Master’s degree and 2 years of experience employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive experience in Wireless Communications Engineering.
  • Work experience to include:
    1) 1 year of experience testing cellular 4G systems and LTE-related protocols including MAC, RLC, RRC and PDCP layers;
    2) 1 year of experience analyzing and troubleshooting functionality across L1 to L3 layers, including LTE 3GPP system KPIs (Key Performance Indicators);
    3) 1 year of experience utilizing the following test tools:  Wireshark, Iperf, TEMS, Qualcomm QXDM and JFW channel attenuator;
    4) 1 year of industry experience creating and executing interoperability (IOT) and Interoperability Development (IODT) test plans for LTE (4G) system.

Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.

Employer will accept pre- or post-Master’s degree experience, however, all experience must be post-Bachelor’s degree.
